I don't think anyone has as many envelopes as I have copies of TBB.

I haven't posted a picture yet of my collection, but I should later. Recently I made another addition with an eBay purchase of Count Olaf magnets with interchangeable disguises. It looks pretty cool.
Today I will find out if something a little more valuable will find its way into my hands.

Has Handler ever been to Australia? Don't think so. I became properly aware of aSoUE around TGG's release, so I may have missed something. Of course, if I find out I did miss something I could have gone to, I would never forgive myself. Dante, envelopes always intrigue me.

Haha very good disguise ideas! Although i think a HB pencil would be more elusive!

I could've disguised myself as a school girl. It wouldn't have actually been that difficult, although the journey all the way down to Edinburgh would have been.

He's only trying to catch you off guard and stone you to death with your own copies of TBB. Has Handler ever been to Australia? Don't think so. You're Aussie as well?

And this, you see, Dante, is why I will never kill you. Hmmm. I support Kensicle's theory. Be very careful, Dante. Kensicle, yes I am! Only just found out you are. Its nice to find another Aussie here. Obviously the most prominent would be BSam and Shelly.

I'd forgotten PJ was an Aussie. 667 does have quite a few.

Yeah, we do have quite a few. Wow, I just realised how off-topic this thread is. We started with pictures of LS collection and now we're talking about...stoning Dante with copies of TBB.

At least I won't be stoned by all the TBBs falling from the sky in America next month. If anyone gets hold of one, make sure to tell us about it - although I shouldn't be surprised to see a few articles crop up about it in the news.

So here's my personal shelf ! It's actually not complete... A few of my books are waiting (Why We Broke Up, amongst others) in cardboard boxes since my family has a new house right now. I'll get a nicer and bigger shelf once the whole ordeal is over. In the meantime, let's see what's on the picture... ORIGINAL ENGLISH (American Editions) : * Watch Your Mouth * The Basic Eight * Adverbs * LSUA (signed by Daniel Handler) * The Beatrice Letters * TBB:RE * The Complete Wreck (with "Till Death Do Us Part" poster) * Movie tie-in editions of TRR and TWW, the ones with additional jackets showing Carrey as Olaf * Spare copies : TSS, TGG, TPP (signed by Daniel Handler) and TE FRENCH TRANSLATIONS : * Book 1 to 13 (first edition) * LSUA * A rare book-bag designed to hold a french Asoue book, this was made to promote the movie in France but ended up being stacked until it was offered for free at Daniel Handler's booksigning event in Paris. It's a prized item amongst french fans of Asoue since it proves you were at the event and met the Master himself ! OTHERS : * Colette's "Gigi" * Baudelaire's "Flowers of Evil" * Dino Buzzati's "The Bewitched Blazer" * Kafka's "The Trial" * Hugo's "Punishments" * Gauthier's "Sprite" * Flaubert's "Madame Bovary" I own several commonplace books but as they don't just include snickety stuff I didn't show them there. Note that the image isn't deformed, the bookshelf's actually being curved by the weight of all these books ! The upper half is reserved for the works of famous philosophers. On the left you can see french editions of "A Song of Ice and Fire." On the Right are some mangas, or rather mangas by CLAMP. The lower shelf, in a apparent state of chaos, is where I put other books that I haven't found a place for yet... I have other bookshelves in the house but they're even more cramped.

That's certainly a satisfyingly wide bookshelf, and it's neat that you have other works relevant to ASoUE on the same shelf, too. Oh - could you photograph the "'Til Death Do Us Part" poster? As I've noted before, you're the only person who I've ever heard of having gotten such a poster with their copy of The Complete Wreck.

Wow, brilliant collection, thedoctororwell. Interesting you include works alluded to by Snicket in your collection. I'm also intrigued by your bag - is it the one sitting on the far right?
