Kensicle: Are you British? Wait, there was an event in Edinburgh? Darn.

Apparently, the Edinburgh event wasn't open to the public. So you might not have missed out after all, unless you attended the school he visited on that occasion.

Oh yes. And I don't even live in or go to school in Edinburgh.

It was only open to school children, though. You live in Edinburgh?

Particularly if you'd disguised yourself as one of the school children, or perhaps a bullfighter.

Actually, Handler was in Britain in January of some year ... yes, here's the thread. He was touring the U.K. Oh, missed that. Did some Google searching and nothing much came up. Nah, I'm an Aussie, mate. Fair dinkum. *inserts more random Australian slang*

Oh, it's hard being an Aussie Snicket fan, too. "LS is doing an event in [insert American state]". Oh, good for him - I say to myself - but not particularly good for me. As for promo materials or signed books... well, eBay is pretty useful. Kensicle, I had no idea you were an Aussie, mate! And Groge, perhaps you could have disguised yourself as a desk (school-related object) to sneak in. I know Lemony has been as desk on occasion. I read it in some interview.

Has Handler ever been to Australia? It must be kind of a blow if he's been to Australia fewer times than he's been to France, i.e. one.

I can't find any articles relating to Handler visiting Australia, which doesn't mean that such a visit doesn't exist. I remember someone saying in some old thread that he visited back in 2004, or perhaps it was 2005. Meh. I hadn't even learned to read properly at the time of said visit. Anyhows, I prefer to observe and admire at a distance. Groge: A chest of drawers would have been a nice disguise as well, or an armchair, like Horace Slughorn in The Half-Blood Prince.

Of which do you have more: Envelopes, or copies of TBB? Be honest.
