Pandora vs. Willis Part of proving your worth in The Moderator Games is coming up with a noble, creative way to test your might against your opponent's. Are we going to come up with a challenge? EDIT: I'm assuming we have one week.

Should it be literary-themed?

It should be awesome themed.

That certainly narrows it down EDIT: Our duel has begun, but needed to be stopped... for now.

Hey we ended up deciding on a fanfic contest, on the spirit of Leering Literature. The thing is that I just saw Hermes and Beth were doing the same thing. Would we get "negative creative points" too?

Perhaps if you made it non-ASOUE fanfic that would be creative enough (and would fit the theme even better, actually).
(Though of course really, if you both get negative creativity points, it doesn't affect the result.)

Oh, that's what we were originally doing anyway.

I'm not thrilled about this idea. But if you've already starting writing... it's okay.

I haven't, but I'm not sure about LG. Edit: She hadn't, so we hope you'll like this new idea:

Still haven't gotten Tragedy's seal of approval on our method, but I am going to post these poems anyways, one, to be a rebel, and two, because I'm quite fond of them. Here are my five poems for the duel:
#1 (Acrostic) Lady Grantham holds a deep, true and everlasting love of books Everything can be found in her library, if one simply looks Enjoying time alone with a good read Really what else could she need? Interested in a variety of topics and subjects Nobody ever really, truly suspects Great things can come from having someone so odd Looking after the forum as the Leering Literature mod It's true though, it makes all the difference To have someone so passionate and full of endurance Employed to sort through each topic and thread Regular mortals anticipate the task with dread Ah, but Lady Grantham relishes the task Tragedy need never be anxious, nervous, nor apprehensive Under Lady Grantham's moderation, it's comprehensive Ready to watch over the section and ensure Everyone behaves nicely and doesn't act like a boor
#2 (Sonnet) Lady Grantham's a known bibliophile With a flair for wit, charm, and intellect Not to mention, famous feminine wile By now, she has earned a great deal respect Posting at 667 Dark Avenue Dedicated Lemony Snicket Ever so friendly, courteous, and true Helping friends out of a sticky wicket If granted a moderator's powers One guarantees her great dedication She would devote many of her hours Her duty a nigh sacred ligation Consider Lady Grantham for LL Mod It will be a decision you will laud
#3 (Haiku) Books lay dusty still Awaiting the caring touch Of a great reader
#4 (Limerick) There was a Lady from Dark Avenue Who had a moderator's job to pursue While trying to win a poetry contest She could hardly rest So her hair ended up quite askew
#5 Free Verse The books nerds of 667 Dark Avenue need a strong voice To represent them, the obvious choice For this honour is Lady Grantham, of poetic fame Who used to have a nigh unpronounceable name She now has a much simpler moniker Knows how to run things smoothly and prevent a bicker Pick LadyGrantham, she can be quite the contrarian But she also has previous experience as a librarian!

I haven't, but I'm not sure about LG. Edit: She hadn't, so we hope you'll like this new idea: I'll accept this if you each also do a poem (free style) on why the other person does not deserve to be LL moderator. That poem is going to be weighted equally to the first five.

Fair enough. F.D, consider this my advance apology for whatever I write about you:
There is a saying I heard a while back, It's simple, “Age Before Beauty” Meaning that wisdom comes before looks When making a choice for mod of books That's why one must not consider F.D For in both, you'll find he does lack There's nary a sophisticated bone in his body His tastes vary from sophist to outright gaudy His penchant for tarty songstresses and scribbles Indicate that his mind consists of mostly quibbles The choice is simple, don't you see One simply cannot select F.D To moderate Leering Literature He's far too much of a cur

Hahaha, these are amazing, LG! Will post mine soon. And don't worry I wasn't offended, it was quite funny.
EDIT: I wrote the sonnet against LG, for now.
You must understand me When I advise you not to trust LadyGrantham the moderator position She’s obviously an occupied miss So her duties she’ll surely dismiss Always distracted with the beauties around “Omnisexual” she says Yes, she only cares for sexiness If only you look from a preoccupied point of view You’ll find picking LG is a choice you’d rue Her book choices are a bore And her opinions, a snore It’s clear for everyone to see: The members’ displease “Don’t choose her” is 667’s plea
EDIT 2: Oh, it was free-style? Now I feel like I've copied LG. Should I write an alternate one?
EDIT 3: The haiku:
The lust for reading, Endless search for great stories: F.D.’s fiery passion I'm sorry if the syllable count is a bit off. English not being my first language and all, I got a bit of a problem with separating syllables in english.
EDIT 4:
Free Verse:
When judging devotion, you must admit F.D. is the one to be: He knows what’s best for the forum And the members just love him He cares for books like no-one else And doesn’t leave them just standing on the shelf F.D. loves to share his information And great recommendations If you want a fair mod I would find it odd To pick anyone but him!

Sorry for the delay, here are my final poems:
Limerick: An old man once told me The tale of a boy named F.D. He stood so much in libraries And read so many stories He had to buy glasses with lens the size of a pea!
Acrostic:
Whenever I think of becoming a mod I feel like I would do a great job Never being dishonest or unfair Nifty sense of judgement and sympathetic flair Everytime I'd post, I'd always contribute Rapidly stopping all dispute
Sonnet:
What LLiterature needs is a helping hand Someone who can easily understand Its problems and affairs A person that can care But still know its position Moderating with intelligence and precision With a great knowledge of books. For that person you must no further look F.D. is here for you And you just know what he's going to do Put everything in its due place With organization and grace LLiterature's golden age is yet to come When F.D. becomes the chosen one
Good luck for us both!
