Okay, not overly disturbing, but what is everyone's opinion on derogatory words that pertain to females rather than men. For example "Then I was like 'magee, I don't even like cheese sticks'", or "You don't have to monkey yourself out or anything though". Conversely, how do you generally feel about derogatory terms pertaining to males rather than women. Is it sexism to use words like "magee", "Bastard", or "magikarp"? Is it sexist to purposely not use such words. How do these words make you feel? Etc.

I don't use any of these words, and I don't like when people say them to me. But if people want to use derogatory words to describe me they should at least pick one which makes clear that I'm female.

Okay, but what about in just a kinda casual non malevolent tone like calling all your friends magee?

I think it's the same.
Edit: Wait, it's not the same, I don't mind when people call me things if it's not seriously malevolent, but they should still chose something female.

I wasn't aware that "bastard" was gender specific.
