The thirteenth anniversary will be just a few months before the finale of All The Wrong Questions comes out. Coincidence? Yes.

if the book came out in late september....we could make it a 13 week build up to the last book / 667s 13th anniversary

The thirteenth anniversary will be just a few months before the finale of All The Wrong Questions comes out. Coincidence? Yes. It'll be called "What is up with my obsessive fans?"

It's great to see that this forum is still so active despite the fact that ASOUE ended in 2006. To me that speaks volumes of your commitment, dedication, and hard work. I haven't been active here for several years (as my interests have changed as I have grown older) but I thought since I am here right now I might as well congratulate all of you. May the future for 667 continue to be bright!

So Harry Potter Day (1st September) is approaching. Should we do anything? (I'm thinking of something fairly low-key - e.g. we adopt Harry Potter names for the day, and have a thread where we can be in character, like the various 'come as....' threads during the tenth anniversary.)

I think it's a good idea, especially with the avatar things we can make.

I would support that. And yes, the avatar maker is a handy tool for these situations.

But is it possible to create a new avatar without losing your old one?

Not as far I know, but you could take a screencap of your current one, and then upload the picture as your avatar afterwards (or use it as a reference for remodelling your avatar back, of course).
EDIT: You don't even have to take a screencap, you can actually right-click on your avatar and choose "Save image as."

When you save the image you can also add things like freckles or other things.
