It's certainly not a theory that I've heard before, and I must admit that I have my doubts about the existence of ghosts in the Averse, but it would account for JS and their true identity being so hard to get one's hands on. What makes you think this, puchicala?

It's not entirely clear how Jacques was killed, but everyone involved seemed pretty sure about it in TVV, and I don't know that Olaf would have left the job unfinished, not with Jacques directly in his clutches. Still, we don't really have any idea where Jacques's body ended up, so if you want to imagine that he was left badly injured but managed to recover, that's your prerogative.

To be clear, the series doesn't give us any reason to think that he's still alive. A thought experiment like this runs close to being a pleasing fanfiction.
