Do you guys just eat crackers? Like is that a thing people do? Or do you eat it with other stuff? And how often?

All of those things. Crackers are great plain, especially if they're great crackers. If they're not great crackers then I will only eat them with stuff like hummus or cheese. But some things are better with crackers, such as most varieties of soup.
Do people not eat crackers as crackers in Brazil? Do you have those club social crackers? Those are a great snack or sad meal substitute.

Yeah we have crackers, but aside from club social I don't think I've ever seen someone just eat crackers. Maybe only at fancy parties as an appetizer.

I think you might just not have the right kind of crackers.

I have no idea what anyone is talking about in this thread.

A cracker is what I would call a biscuit (non-sweet variety).
I understood the discussion until Pen came in. He is saying, I think, that it's odd to eat crackers on their own. I agree with this - one would more often eat them with cheese - but don't see why this should stop us discussing the merits of different kinds of cracker.
(I like oatcakes. Do they count?)

I would class oatcakes as closer to biscuits than crackers.

Well, I would call all these things, Ritz and such, biscuits anyway. For me the basic categories are sweet biscuit and cheese biscuit; and then I think there is one very specific kind of cheese biscuit which is called a cracker (but I'm not sure I would be able to recognise it).

That one very specific cracker you're thinking of could be a cream cracker. That's the only cracker I'd eat cheese with, but wiki tells me that might just be an Irish thing.
