I thought I was a Ravenclaw but pottermore said I was a Slytherin. I was surprised at first but it's sort of like a horoscope where everyone has a little bit of each of the houses and you can twist them to fit.

before pottermore i always thought i was in ravenclaw and definitely was not in hufflepuff but then i got hufflepuff on pottermore (twice, bc i made another account to make sure) and i realized i'd been in denial about it. i'm cool with it now

Same. At first I was disappointed but I've grown to like it.

On Pottermore, I'm a Ravenclaw. On quizzes I took before Pottermore, I was placed in Ravenclaw most of the time, with the occasional Slytherin placement.

Pottermore put me in Ravenclaw. While reading the series I wanted to be a Ravenclaw too, because Luna's my favorite character and they had the coolest mascot.

My middle school had "houses" with motivational names. As I remember it they were the Allstars, Achievers, and Voyagers.

Mine did, too. Endurance and Responsibility were Grade 6. Citizenship was Grade 7. Champions was Grades 7 and 8. Heroes was Grade 8. I was in Endurance in Grade 6, Citizenship in Grade 7, and Heroes in Grade 8. Each house had a separate set of teachers for the core subjects (English, Reading, Social Studies, Science, and Math in Grade 6. English, Social Studies, Science, and Math in Grades 7 and 8).

Why are american schools so motivational

Our houses are named after 5 historic areas of the surrounding village and the colours are red, blue, green, yellow and orange and I'm in the blue one

For our school uniform we wear blazers and in 6 months I get a blue ribbon around my blazer cuffs and in another 12 months after that I get a thinner, gold ribbon around the middle of the blue ribbon

And if you make head boy/girl you get gold ribbon all round the blazer, and if you make house captain you get whatever ribbon your house colour is around your blazer
