i was like do i really need to make a thread about this but then i stayed up late looking at all the posts on that facebook group about the 2nd annual wearing pants to church thing so please tell me more. sooooooo
its okay for ladies to wear pants technically but people side eye it is that the jist of it? or is it not allowed but you're all doing it anyway on this one day because its important?
what is a ward is that like a parish? how big is a ward? it sounds like you go to a ward based on where you live, you dont get to choose at all?
are the women you know like friends/family also going to wear pants?
does the bishop where you are support the pants wearing? i exited the facebook but i think bishop was the right term sorry if its not
whats the process like for people going to college somewhere different, do they have to change wards?
did you have to change wards when you moved from home/ how did that go?
i am making myself stop asking questions now.

I love that you made a topic called pants linda. Also I already knew it was probably going to be about that before I read it.

There was even a press release last year where the church headquarters clarified that it was okay. Usually the people who wear pants are people who are poor or who are new or don't come very often and a lot of time people will be judgmental so we're trying to bring attention to that and bring sort of a spirit of inclusion
what is a ward is that like a parish? how big is a ward? it sounds like you go to a ward based on where you live, you dont get to choose at all? -Yeah, a ward is like a parish, usually has about 200-300 people. It's generally geographically based.
are the women you know like friends/family also going to wear pants? -I'm trying to spread awareness and get more people to but I'm not sure how many will.
does the bishop where you are support the pants wearing? i exited the facebook but i think bishop was the right term sorry if its not -yeah bishop's the right term. I'm not sure if he knows about it but he's a pretty cool guy so I bet if I told him about it he'd like it
whats the process like for people going to college somewhere different, do they have to change wards? -they usually have wards specifically for single people age 18-30; most college people do to those
did you have to change wards when you moved from home/ how did that go? -yeah my family lives about 60 miles away so I am in a different ward from them.
