don't know if i've noticed that phenomenon, but then again i tend not to indulge in much mainstream cinema. either way, nudity kind of bothers me in real life (unless it's someone i'm sexually active with)

For everyone interested in sexuality as a topic in our society and media, as well as a great film, I strongly recommend Lars Von Trier's Nymphomaniac, where there's both female and male nudity. It is an incredible movie experience, and I think it's the director's magnum opus.
And just to clarify, as I first thought it might be just some kind of pretentious exploitation film: it is actually, to quote my own amateur review, "a very human and yet theatrically epic drama, with more humour (however black) than one might think, presented as a series of intertwined parables, all framed by a philosophical discussion recalling Plato’s Socratic dialogues at times. It is a challenging film, no doubt, but has its share of rather beautiful, if melancholic, moments as well, and gives you quite a bit to think about."

crazy that its way more common in the media but ladies can't be topless in public. I'd rather nobody was topless (I somehow become extremely uncomfortable if a man has his shirt off. Probably because i could ever could die that without just being all embarrassed at my awful body ) But yeah what linda said. I'd much rather see some interesting tv than a half-naked (or more) person. I'm such a prude. I came out as prudish to my friends at Supanova (not like in a big deal way, I'm sure you know what I mean). It just bothers me to see anyone with less than like full body covering. IDK. Shut up. But like, I realised because at Supanova, half of everyone are wearing practically nothing. It's like in Mean Girls, where Halloween is an excuse to dress scantily or whatever. It's one of the reasons I hate the Beach/pools. Like, as a guy I'm expected to wear practically nothing and it's normal, and same goes for girls. I dunno whatever.
