J.K. Rowling released a new short story featuring a middle-aged Harry on Pottermore recently I found some links on a few news articles but all I got was the homepage for Pottermore itself. Does anybody have a transcript or something, or do you have to be a Pottermore user to read it?

It's under "New writing from J.K. Rowling", but yes, you do need to sign up to access it.

Please just let it die now! We don't need to see this sort of thing. Speaking as someone who ISN'T a fan of Harry Potter.

You don't have to look at it.
And is this the Quidditch World Cup story? Because if so, it has been leaked - I can probably find a link if people want.

No, I'm just saying JK Rowling is flogging a dead horse. The original series is enough, she should move on different things (and I believe she has, she published something under a man's name?) or else fans are going to kill her for, well, flogging a dead horse. Flogging a dead horse.

The Harry Potter things she does now are very small, and are given out as prizes to people who have signed up for Pottermore, so are presumably still interested in this stuff. (Though they do get leaked, which implies other people want to read them as well.) Also a lot of them, though apparently not this one, were written a long time ago as part of the background material for the books, which wasn't used in the end.) Her actual career moved on long ago.
