Hi guys! It's that time of year again! I'm hoping to start by sometime in the end of June. Assistance in leading discussions is welcome as always. Here are the guidelines for nominees;
1. Must be appropriate for at least ages 13 and up 2. Nominations must include the title, author and ISBN number so that way we can properly locate it. 3. It cannot be any of the following books as we have already read them: The Hunger Games (1st book), Cloud Atlas, Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norell, The Book Thief, Pizza and Coffee, Why We Broke Up, or Railsea. 4. Books must be less than 700 pages 5. You can nominate books that have been nominated before 6. You can't nominate books that aren't available to be purchased/borrowed by the time of this posting
Nominations end on May 22nd, voting will start after that.
We will be reading the following book: We Are Pirates by Daniel Handler ISBN 1608196887 (ISBN13: 9781608196883)
Reading schedule:
The book is fairly short, so we can split it up into two parts. We should all start reading on June 15th. If you don't have the book yet, we will not actually begin discussion until Tuesday June 30th. - Read up to part 2 (Page 148) by June 30th. - Complete the book by July 14th and discuss the remainder

Hey I heard the other day that Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell is going to be a 7-part-miniseries on BBC America this summer, for those who are interested.
I'll be back with nominations once I think of some.

Oh yeah, I read The Eyre Affair last year and def have some thoughts, good and bad. There's a lot to discuss there. And I have thoughts on WAP, too of course.

I also support WAP. The year we did WWBU was one of our most successful, I feel.

We both have that shirt and we forgot to take a picture where we are both wearing it. I would maybe like to read that book too.

Does everyone just want to read the pirate book? I agree with Hermes. Mostly because I really like pirates
