Yup! The one thing that I am strongly against is incest or just breeding certain animals in order to create offspring who will suffer just for some aesthetic purpose, or maybe because they're designed to serve a purpose.

If it weren't for that we wouldn't have dogs in the first place, though, or did I mix something up?

No, I think that's true. But breeding for usefulness is rather different from breeding just so something looks good (when the animal itself suffers by it).

I was just responding to Emerald objecting to (in)breeding "because they're designed to serve a purpose," which applies to dogs.

I'm pretty neutral on domestication. I'm not going to attack anyone for domesticating a species, but I don't support it either. Do we really need dogs in this day and age? Sure, they might have been useful to our species in the past, but nowadays we don't need things to be powered by animals.

ps dogs provide different but still very useful services today like idk assisting the police and armies and providing vital services for the blind and other people with disabilities.

plus many of them provide at least a little bit of security when they live in residences as they bark like crazy if they hear a noise outside and honestly im offended at the notion that they have to provide services for us maybe it us that needs to provide service to them.

Dogsleighs are pulled by huskies. And apparently, there's a 'dog-powered scooter', but I don't know how that would work.
