I've seen it twice actually and really loved it. It's very sad at points, but very beautiful too, and features some brilliant magic -- really inventive spells.
I'm also sad for Johnny Depp (I very much hope he wins in his current lawsuit), and I think he was the best Grindelwald by far, but I figured at least he still got fully paid for Secrets of Dumbledore -- plus, an awful lot of actors & crew worked on it and I think they deserve to have their work appreciated.
That said, I won't watch any Pirates of the Caribbean films without Depp; he carried those films from the start, and they wouldn't be remotely the same or, I think, worth watching without him. Whereas with Secrets of Dumbledore, it's much more of an ensemble film.

I haven't seen any of these films, because they all just seem a bit too tacky cash in.... but I'm sure I'll get round to it eventually.

I didn’t find the ads tacky; I liked that it was all connected. I don't really consider things like this cash grabs -- or at least not unreasonable ones -- if the people working on them really seem to care about what they're creating/put in decent effort, which I think this cast & crew did; there's an awful lot of excellent work in it regardless of what people think of the eventual outcome.

The ads for this movie were especially tacky. Stop showing clips from the Harry Potter films! I also don't like the current direction of the movie names. Let's suggest the next titles. -Woes of Queenie. -Mental Trauma of Credence. -Tired of Rowling. Haha, why am I being so aggressive? ilysm

I think all Harry Potter content except for the first book, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, is a cash grab.

I think all Harry Potter content except for the first book, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, is a cash grab. Considering the series didn't become especially popular until after the publication of the third book, this is an odd opinion.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone won two publishing industry awards given for sales rather than literary merit, the British Book Awards Children's Book of the Year and the Booksellers' Association / Bookseller Author of the Year.[16]
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets was published in the UK on 2 July 1998 and in the US on 2 June 1999.[4][5] It immediately took first place in UK bestseller lists, displacing popular authors such as John Grisham, Tom Clancy,[1] and Terry Pratchett[6] and making Rowling the first author to win the British Book Awards Children's Book of the Year for two years in succession.[7]

Finally saw it and the first third was kind of boring but it was also really beautiful and the beasts were really interesting. I refuse to watch any Pirates movie without Depp in it. He was very much a central focus in those films.
