i went kind of crazy with this one but im not sorry bc i loved it the answer was Ed, which was violet's fathers nickname for her, based off thomas edison. harry edward styles was the 1d connection which you could get either with a guess bc he's my fave or by seeing that the connection was middle names with the mod clue as two of the others' middle names is james.

... I want to ask for a hint at this point but I'm too embarrassed because I like the artist so much.

There are two paths to reach the answer. One is through the artist name, the other one of the albums.
Idk if those clues make it too easy but I thought it was an easy one already. Good luck

Dropping in to share a few of my (all wrong) guesses, because I think some of them were pretty good even though they were wrong.
- I thought the Lemon Tree one referred to the Snicket family tree from the end of TUA
- I thought the Agents of Shield one was something to do with J. S., specifically Jaques, since the character who said the quote was Jemma Simmons, and the mod clue pointed to TVV
- This current one, the most realistic ones I've tried are Carmelita (a Primadonna Girl) and the Quagmire sapphires (The Family Jewels).

The current puzzle has been solved by Bee. The solution was sapphires, reached because it is a lyric from Marina & the Diamonds and her first album is The Family Jewels. I don't know if Bee has plans to write a new one. If people still want to play this we can keep it going but interest seems to have died considerably so let me know.

I wrote a new one and sent it to Tragedy this morning. I would be happy to offer if I solve any more to the floor or for someone new to write a puzzle next time. I think that way we could have more participation. Sorry if that doesn't make sense.

I am still interested, despite not having solved anything so far.

I still hold a faint hope of one day getting to design a puzzle. I did the exact same thing, and then tried every aquatic Snicket-related name I could think of too (for the name Marina and some old EP called Mermaid vs. Sailor) because I supposed I was just on the wrong path... I can't believe I didn't think to try just "sapphires." Personally I'm very new and I think there have only been two or three puzzles since I came here, but I've had a grand old time trying to sleuth out the answer and if this is continued I'll keep trying.

Oh, yes, please! Thanks for asking! I'm not entirely sure how difficult the one I have in mind will be, but I'm thinking it's going to be relatively easy, though hopefully not too much so. Willis, I'll send it to you if you don't mind it, because the prospect of talking to Tragedy is slightly intimidating.

Is it case sensitive? More than a word? Are there any rules for these passwords?
