It's a 12-bar-blues structure played with an Elton John-esque piano and kooky vocals. So yeah, I stand by my statement. Doesn't mean I don't like it, douche. I also enjoy me some 'Honky Chateau', nuttin wrong withat.

sorry, didn't realize if a genius rhythm and blues sound was co-opted into stupid icklein reginald dwight rock adulteration, it retroactively turned the real artists into dad rock too

i've been practicing boogie woogie piano for about 8 months now and can safely say TIPITINA contains the most genius licks ever invented, and is still the best song ever recorded. PEACE

I don't know if I'm bold enough to say that it's the best song ever, but no song gives me pure unbridled joy like "Now is the Start" by A Fine Frenzy. Gives me chills every time.

here’s my bare-bones version of Tipitina aka still the best song ever recorded. Haven’t got the guts to learn Fess’s intro flourishes yet. youtube.com/watch?v=o3MB90G_a8g
