At the 1:44 mark. I thought it was just Olaf in glasses, but People Magazine claims it's Dupin. Also, although I still think she's Jacquelyn, I think her gold paint might point towards Esme. Caking oneself in gold paint for the sake of fashion is exactly the kind of thing she would do. I don't believe that it is Dupin. And articles, especially when they treat their own speculation as fact, can get things wrong. I do think it is a disguise though- It's in Mr. Poe's bank, in presumably the same scene that has the henchmen in the bank disguised as police officers.

I doubt he's playing Dupin at this point but I think it's good bet that we'll see that costume again later.

I don't think the gold-painted woman is Esme, since she says "I'm taking you to prison."

I concede it could be him using the costume. Who knows really? Lol Handler has already said the ASOUE universe is expanded and we can see now that he didn't mean by a little.

Seems like that would be something two lover villains might role play lol. I have no idea, really. Just seemd playful. Still, not sure why they would be introducing Esmé so early

I love everyone's voices, they're so appropriately proper and semi-whimsical and Snicket-like or Snicket-esque or whatever term is correct!!! Olaaf's tones can really turn on a dime, and that makes lines like "Because it's fun!" interesting because I almost get the sense it's a half truth. Captain Sham sounds so pirate-like but at the same time like Olaf is commited to the role. I love the VFD moments, from the codes to the harpoon gun. Please explain the visuals, there seem to be a lot of them!!! In a minute I'll give you a detailed description of everything Lorelai!

I doubt he's playing Dupin at this point but I think it's good bet that we'll see that costume again later. Well we learn in TUA and TCC that members of V.F.D. have identical disguise kits, and it seems that all of Olaf's disguises are constructed from these items. So him using his sunglasses more than once strikes me as very plausible. I don't imagine that frame is of Olaf in his full Dupin outfit, but it would make sense if he reused the sunglasses in TVV. also where is this poster everyone is speaking of? vitalfandisclosure.com/EDIT: Forgot to say that I really loved this trailer, and it makes me excited for the show. It looks very good so far.

I think the last part may be taking place on board the Prospero, considering the ship poster in the background. The generally wavy design of the room evokes an expensive cabin on a ship (also, there's a porthole behind Olaf). I could imagine this being from the latter half of TRR, if they decide to let Olaf actually get the children onto the ship - there's a good potential to expand the story in that direction, I think. It would add a whole new setting without intruding too much on the story we already know.

I also SUPER love to a certain extent how they haven't shown us much from Miserable Mill--and I mean that. I can't wait to see this world I've never seen before on screen...on screen.
And I am ALREADY nauseous thinking about the rest of the series. If this looks so good, imagine Ersatz Elevator? Or CARNIVOROUS CARNIVAL? OR PENULTIMATE PERIL???

Also, further to the thing about Violet having an active role -- Klaus is see holding Sunny! Hallelujah! It's just nice seeing her express emotions and acting on them in general! I already like these kids thousands of times more than the movie's kids. (Although that's not saying a lot. The kids in the movie didn't have a lot to work with- Violet and Sunny especially.)
