The trailer starts with a trolley in front of a very colorful version of the Baudelaire mansion before the fire. When the song begins we see Justice Strauss in the trolley with the Baudelaires, all of them smiling and happy (the trolley says "THIS TROLLEY DOES NOT TURN ON RED LIGHTS" btw). A first look at Justice Strauss' house, full of trees with flowers and a beautiful blue sky in the background. Mr. Poe is with the children an Justice Strauss now, and the latter points across the street: a bird flies in that direction. We change to Uncle Monty's house, with a wonderful garden full of bushes with shapes of reptiles and amphibians (I see snakes, a turtle and a toad). The reptile room seems to be enourmous in comparison with the rest of the house.
When Lemony starts talking we see the kids on a library, then the kids in Briny Beach (apparently); then Snicket is inside the trolley standing up, with other people sitting around in a casual way. They don't seem to hear him. Violet throws a rock to the sea with a smile (her hair is tied) and then we see a red, old-fashioned fire-fighters car. Then we see the kids in the same trolley than Snicket with a unpleasant look in their faces.
When Mr. Poe talks, we can see the Baudelaires in the Baudelaire Mansion after the fire. The structure kind of stands, but everything else is ashes. We see part of a piano. Then we go back to the beach while Poe tells the kids their parents are dead. After that, it's a scene from the last trailer, where we can see Mr Poe taking the kids to Olaf's house: the front/outside of the house is dark and dirty, there are empty bottles and old newspapers all over the place. The door's windows are broken and covered with planks. After the "Hello, hello, hello" greeting, we see a title saying "A NETFLIX ORIGINAL SERIES"; then, Olaf pushes violently the kids inside of the house. When he starts talking we see the Baudelaires in one extreme of a large dinning table and Olaf in the other. He's sitting in a throne-like chair.
When he says "Your new guardian" we see the Baudelaires sitting in the only bed they were provided. It's small and looks old, made of metal and a really thin and dirty mattress. You can see a chair and a lot of broken furniture in the background, and they seem to be in the top floor of the house, since you can see the sun going through the ceiling. Then Olaf shows them a long list (VFD symbol in a window behind him btw), and then we can see the kids doing all kind of chores: cleaning a dirty and disgusting bathroom, Klaus turning on a dangerous stove (a big flame appears when he does), Violet chopping wood outside wearing a pink dress (a VFD symbol appears in the trunk here). When Klaus talks we see Olaf with a spyglass, then the kids being led upstairs by Fernald. After that Violet using one of her inventions that seems to be some kind of package to climb using a large piece of fabric, Rapunzel style. We see a car crossing a wooden bridge at night, and stopping in front of the Baudelaires (outside of Aunt Jo's house, it seems). The henchmen are in the car, and they tell the kids to go back inside (the first to talk is the long nose guy, then the white-faced women, finally the androgynous person; Fernald's on the wheel but he doesn't talk).
Another title saying "THIS JANUARY", then we see Olaf outside with Violet and Klaus looking up: Sunny's in the cage, tied with a rope and with a piece of duct tape in her mouth. Then Justice Strauss is outside Olaf's house smiling and says "what?"; then Fernald again pushing the children inside of what it seems to be the tower, closing a gate and putting a lock. Then Olaf going down through a trapdoor with a hourglass in his hand; we see Sunny's not there with Klaus and Violet but outside, in the cage. Violet has her hair tied again. He closes the trapdoor and instantly open it again, he does the "I bought it online pun" and then we see the kids with Mr. Poe arriving to Damocles Dock, we see a ship in the background that says "Fickle ferry".
They enter Aunt Jo's house as she starts talking about their parents. Her house is full of cracks on the walls, we see a phone under one of those glass dome things they use to put cakes inside (I have no idea what the English word for that is, sorry). She shows them a picture of a lot of people in Paltryville's Main Street, we see some stores and Lucky Smells Lumbermill in the background. We can recognize young Josephine, young Lemony and young Monty, and we see Barry Sonnenfeld next Jo and Cobie Smulders nearby. There are two couples and another guy. When she talks about the secret code we see Monty in the cinema with Klaus next to him eating popcorn. Monty has a spyglass, which he uses to descipher Sebald Code on a scene of the movie (the movie is in black and white, and we see the subtitles letters rearrange into "danGer take the children!" when he uses the spyglass). He writes the message down ("HELLO MONTY. DANGER! TAKE THE CHILDREN") in a piece of paper on his lap.
Again to Aunt Jo's house, the kids open a safe that contains a book called "The Incomplete Story of Secret Organizations". We see someone taking that same book from a shelf. Then Klaus and Violet eating their soup with three candles and a doll in Aunt Jo's house. We see the maze map we saw in the previous trailer, then Klaus in Doctor Orwell's office being trapped on a chair with a weird, Frankenstein like helmet on. After that, Justice Strauss library, Klaus with the same spyglass Monty has explaining her it was of his parents. Then they show Olaf's tattoo, then we see the henchmen wearing disguises for The Reptile Room apparently (Fernald as a doctor, the long nose guy a policeman, the white-faced women and the androgynous person nurses). Then Mr. Poe in the bank, what seems to be his office (full of files and a big safe behind him and his desk) followed by a lot of different VFD symbols in different places: with dust (sawdust it seems) in the floor, on a spyglass, on a wall of what it seems to be a sewer, on a golden thing that looks like a necklace or jewlery, and a tower with lots of VFDs (eye shaped window with VFD inside and fences with more VFD)... Then the title saying "MYSTERIES WILL BE REVEALED", we get back to Aunt Jo's house, where her, Captain Sham and the Baudelaires are in the wide window's room. There's a library and maps on the wall in the background (on the left one for each continent; you can't see the maps, since they're one on top of the other. On the right you have three, one for Town of Lake Lachrymose, one for Lake Lachrymose and one for the City). Captain Sham seems to have wooden teeth or something like that so he can't use the pipe he has (and looks at it with a weird face, like not understanding what to do with it).
Then, when Klaus talks, we see the Baudelaires wearing pajamas (Violet has an asian-looking light green kimono thing, Klaus common pajamas with little brown dinosaurs on it, Sunny a pink one with little flowers maybe? Sunny's on Klaus arms by the way). Then Doctor Orwell says "Aren't you smart?" and we see her wearing a white blazer and with a hypocritical smile on her face. She has brown hair, medium lenght, and is in a room that seems to be her office (eyes on the wallpaper and a poster behind her with different kind of glasses). Then we see Olaf in what it seems to be Mr. Poe's bank or a simmilar building (judging by the first pictures we got, it is the bank), wearing sunglasses, a red scarf, a gray hat and a brown jacket. Another title: "ONE UNFORTUNATE EVENT AT A TIME", and then we see the Baudelaires in the back of a truck wearing rain coats (Violet's red, Sunny's yellow, Klaus' blue; Klaus seems to be holding the picture Aunt Jo showed them on his hand, and the back of the truck says "LUCKY SMELLS LUMBERMILL". They're going through a forest, that seems to be the forest we saw in pictures while they were filming). Whe Olaf says "I will hunt you down" we see him as Stephano going through the maze with a very menacing expression and in a rush: he has a long, abundant gray beard, a blue tie and a light brown coat. He's bald and his glasses make his eyes look bigger. When Violet says "Why you hate us so much" we see her wearing her brown, dirty Lucky Smells uniform with a "30193" on her chest, being grabbed on the air by Fernald; then we see Olaf as Shirley, without the glasses (apparently out of character already). Then a quick series of scenes: the Prospero at dawn with a dark figure (Olaf, according to the other trailer) getting in there; Sunny in the cage, she got rid of the rope and is throwing cards with VFD logo, though we can't see why she does that; Olaf and the white-faced women wearing Egyptian costumes in a tent or stage; a blond unknown woman we believe is Jacquelyn emerging from a trapdoor to what it seems to be a boat's warehouse full of barrels and crates (the VFD symbol is on the trapdoor); Sir receiving the Baudelaires in Lucky Smells, wearing a light hat, jacket, vest and shirt, short beard, sideburns and a nice moustache, all of them white as well and with a cigar on his hand (behind him is a pile of logs and the Lucky Smells sign we saw on set pictures); Lemony Snicket emerging of a manhole, looking at both sides of the street. It's hard to know, but it seems to be the same street the bank is; an unknown man with a brown coat, short gray hair and the lower part of a broken broom on his hand, laying on the street surprised; the next scene is the henchmen looking at the camera from above, so it seems like they're looking at him on the floor. Then we see Charles tied to a log, who obviously seems worried and scared: then Sunny, who seems to be on top of him, grabbing the cut rope with her teeth and smiling adorably. After that, the back of Aunt Jo's house collapsing and falling to the lake and Klaus grabbing a rug and hanging on a cliff, looking down to the lake really scared and screaming. Then him and Violet in the back of Uncle Monty's car, with a fake smile on their faces: we see Monty's looking at them from the front seat in complicity, smiling. They look at each other with a puzzled expression when he asks "are you in?", adn we see it's raining outside. Then the title of the show with fancy letters and nice background, but it seems to burn down and turn brown slowly as ashes fly on front of it. Then we see Olaf again, not wearing a disguise but a robe, the blonde woman with golden paint on her face and hand turning his back on us as she says "I'm taking you to prison". They seem to be in a boat or something like that judging by the round windows, and there are red velvet curtains behind Olaf. When he says "I'm armed" he grabs a knife, then we see the woman's face and Olaf's back (behind here is a drawing of boat saying "BON VOYAGE"). There are a lot of suitcases behind her, and two doors. She's wearing what seems to be a dark silk/leather shirt. She says "So am I" and shows a bigger butcher-like square knife. As Olaf says "Childs play" or something like that he shows her a big machete, and she answers something like "How terrible" and shows him an harpoon gun, and that's it! Netflix logo appears.
