I'm really happy how they are representing the costumes in the Show. I always felt the movie costumes went to far, especial Stephano which looks nothing like Olaf. Here in the show you can tell its Olaf since we are looking for Olaf but if we weren't looking for Olaf we would only see That character.
In the books I do feel like Olaf disguises are actually more on the realistic side. The VFD Disguise Kit is actually really good after all. You can hide as an animal and even an inanimate object. The reason the Baudelaires always notice its Olaf is his shiny eyes. I think that they spent so much time with him in TBB that the are now paranoid. which Mr. Poe says. Its true they are Paranoid but they are also correct in noticing Olaf everywhere. The adults don't see that it is Olaf because they haven't had a horrible experience with him. Olaf's eyes arent engraved in their nightmares. They need more proof and since the disguises are good the proof isn't there. The world of adult is based in proof and fact while Children's is based in imagination.

That was a really good interview I get the sense that the whole creative team share the same vision for this project I can sense that everyone put their heart into it. I think this whole world will be such an amazing visual place. Honestly I can't wait I need it to be Janaury now.

To be honest, I have a minor complaint concerning the promotional material. I can't say that I enjoy NPH/Olaf stealing all the spotlight.
I understand that he's the big name actor and his presence is meant to sell the show to a casual viewer. But ASOUE isn't his story, Baudelaires are the main characters, not him.
I just want to see the children more in the promos. I mean the child actors seem excellent from what we've seen in the script reading, why hide them?

The Brazil Facebook page reported yesterday that Malina Weissman and Louis Hynes had interviews with BuzzFeed, Entertainment Weekly, PopSugar, Bustle and MTV. So you merely have to wait for those interviews to be published.

It's honestly because Louise and Malina are unknown actors and therefore not enough name power to draw attention to interviews. It's business and if we want the show to be successful we have to let the Marketing team and the promotion strategy do what they are good at so that we get more seasons by virtue of interests in the show. But I also want to address what you said in your post. I believe the ASOUE is as much a story about Olaf as it is a story about the Baudelaires. The story needs all four of them.

I think Olaf stealing all the spotlight is such an Olaf thing to do, so even though I would love more promotional material with the children, the NPH stuff works on a meta level

What if actual, physical copies of the Series of Unfortunate Events books showed up on screen at some point, during a non Baudelaire focused scene? I mean, we know the books are being published during the events of series because Kit is said to read them. That might be interesting, but also difficult to explain to new viewers.

I know that's a part of the original books' meta, but I'd also be fine if they didn't mention the books. I like the idea of the book in The End being the maybe then only direct reference to the title in the series. (I know the title was referenced multiple times in the books.)

Remember when we were arguing about what was the new VFD website in latest trailer
I dont think anybody noticed that behind the two guys is Memento Morris Souvenirs
Memento Morris -> Memento Mori (remember you will die)
Is this like, foreshadowing or something
ahhhhhh

I don't think it's foreshadowing, I thought it was just a cute tragedy themed pun. (It seems like the shopkeep might be murdered though, from Zort's video montage, so maybe there is something more to the name.)

Guys, I made a post right when the trailer came out where I tried to get people excited about 'Memento Morris'. Nobody seemed interested. =(
I miss when the title of this thread told me to 'Now avail'.

I think some people feel like Memento Morris was way more hidden than it actually was.

I notice NPH calls it a young adult story. Why is no one willing to call anything a children's story any more? Grump, grump.
