Danish people used to say something was "knee-high watercress", meaning it was cool. The phrase is now only used to poke fun at people who were young in the eighties.

I've been watching a lot of The Nanny, and I'm lovin some of those beautiful yiddish loanwords u just don't hear in oz, like schlepping and schmendrik.
On a phrasier note tho, I've been watching a lot of Frasier recently (lmao jk no i haven't), but yeah the classic Aussie "hunka spunk" meaning 'attractive person' is a real good one. Most aussie phrases are. Apparently, and I didn't realise this, "dog" meaning morally questionable is v ozzie too. Eg. 'Icb shazza ate that whole pav, what a dog act'

lol I love interesting phrases, but unfortunately don't use any unique ones. I actually have this book and can recommend it: I'll see, if I can find a couple favourites tomorrow.
