What are your favorite details added by the Netflix Series compared to the books? I don't mean big things like Jacquelyn or the Spyglasses, just little details of the sort that could fit right in with canon information. My favorite is probably the sneakily-given explanation for Vice-Principal Nero's violin-slaying.

Some (like the TMM one) because they add more sense to the original story, some (like the THH one) because it works better for a visual medium, and some (like the TCC one) because it's not necessarily better than in the books, but it is an interesting story in its own right that I'm glad I got to see. Most of them for a combination of those reasons, actually.

Jacquelyn and Larry-Your-Waiter! Also, the simple fact that the entire series is done from the perspective of the finished book series, rather than doing it the way book series are usually adaptated.

Esme and the Olaf's troupe in TVV in general. Especially Esme listing her names. Esme is probably my favorite character of adaptation in general.

This is less of a specific change and more of a general thing, but I really like how each individual episode has its own plot structure outside of the overarching story.
A problem I have with a lot of "serialized" tv shows is that they sometimes forget that they are making something in an episodic format and instead seem to think that they're making a movie in 6/12/24 parts, which almost always throws the pacing really off balance.
But despite the fact that this show is produced by Netflix and despite the fact that every two episodes are based on a single book, they're able to adapt them in such a way as to let them work as episodes first, piecemeal installments in a larger story second.
