I don't get this either!!! I do not see how it is their fault at all. Olaf is the one who brought the harpoon gun to the lobby, and he is the one who forced the gun into their hands. It is not their fault they dropped it.

You could maybe a little bit blame Violet for getting the gun out and giving it to Carmelita in the first place, though.
