The spy revealed himself. And he tried to guess where he was. And he guessed correctly. And really, it's funny to imagine that a dinosaur was disguised inside a van (it looks like the beginning of a joke) but that's exactly what happened. So by the time he was chosen as the target of the question, he had already gathered enough information to determine where he was with great precision, and was able to perfectly emulate any of the van's various occupants. The fact that there were canonically multiple characters within the location also made life very difficult for the detectives, as they could not use the elimination method in their investigation, i.e. detectives could not try to identify two people who were appearing to be the same character. So at this location, the conditions of the site itself favored the spy a lot, as he could easily blend in with the crowd. I believe detectives would need to think about this when analyzing what their questions and their answers should be. I believe that in an environment with many people, everyone should do a slow and careful investigation, being very careful with the information requested and the information offered. I think that in places like this, making the spy's life difficult should be a priority over identifying the spy himself. An important note: according to the rules of the game, you cannot ask a question to the person who just asked you a question. You need to choose someone else. Re-analyzing the round, I verified that this happened once. However, I'll look the other way this time, as it apparently didn't harm anyone. |
