Ah okay good to hear! yes I though perhaps Tiran O'Saurus but then read the "long enough to save us" answer which showed contextual knowledge, also i think they picked up that the sound I was asking about was the train! and so answered cleverly "impending doom" I did think Violent BUN Fortuna may be the spy but realised she was Olaf and assumed she was in the same predicament as me where being in-character meant having to give answers that may seem like you don't know the location.

As a spy I had a lot of fun too. As for the fairness of the game, the GM has the authority to interpret the rule as he wishes. He understood that "ASOUE's universe" could include the movie universe, and the GM's decisions are unquestionable. He acted to promote fun, and he succeeded. As for you detectives... I'm proud of you all! I want to point out Lily that she managed not to despair... She appeared to be someone who was being questioned by authorities and did not reveal confidential information at all, not even under threat! Congratulations on your resilience! And about Black Bert... What a wit! Not only did you manage to speak like Sunny, I am sure you purposefully and consciously tried to lead me in the wrong lane... When you saw that I had already realized that we were in a life-or-death situation, you tried to make me think we were at the arboretum. I tried to guard against his manipulation, but I couldn't. I had to come up with a lame excuse. Violent BUN Fortuna... The question about whether I bring money was fatal. It just got me thinking about the Hotel D. How amazing! And then the answer from that cunning dinosaur relating the sound to an impending doom... It just made me believe that we were in for something that referenced Opera The Force of Fate. (doom and fate are almost synonymous aren't they?) Congratulations to all of you! From my point of view, you worked perfectly as a team, taking advantage of the gaps that one had left for the other, in order to deceive a spy that you didn't know who you were. I think Spyfall is basically a cooperative game, where participants can't exchange much information with each other. But, if each of the detectives acts as if they were in an improvisation piece, that is, manages to take the cue left by other players imagining how it would be possible to deceive the spy through that information that has already been aired as if pushing the spy in the wrong direction. the detectives manage to form a very strong team. After all, there are several against a single person.

It probably doesn't help that I was paying special attention to you, Optimism is my Phil-osophy You're too good at the game, so I did not give you the same benefit of the doubt that I would give anyone else. As you yourself pointed out in your defense post, I knew you would be translating my babble where possible -- so why did you respond inappropriately? That's why I was specifically using quotes from the books instead of inventing them from whole cloth. Additionally, a normal spy wouldn't get in the way of their enemies making a mistake to vote someone innocent... but having seen many of the games, you would know the first accused is likely to be voted innocent (and I was indeed waiting to watch everyone else's vote, planning to vote innocent if it leaned guilty) and doing it yourself would help quell suspicions. This on its own isn't enough to decide that you're doing anything special, but you then went on to vote Lily the spy after I had already decided she was innocent. That was the moment I knew you were the spy -- because if I noticed the hints that Lily was giving, you would too. Very well played. If you wouldn't have tried to guess early I think you had a good chance of winning. My only regret is that no one accused me so that I could defend myself with "Chew! Chew!"

In fact, I've decided ttry to anule n you from the game. When I realized that you knew I was the spy, I made it a point in my defense post to make it very clear that you were innocent. If people are sure you're innocent, they usually don't ask you questions anymore. And if they don't ask you, you can't ask me anything anymore. And then, I could escape yourr traps. Also, no one would accuse you, which would prevent you from gaining a voice to accuse me explicitly. In fact, it was my pride that led me to defeat. It's a natural flaw of mine, unfortunately. A wise but humble spy would not try to guess where he was unless he had to. But my pride led me to try to guess using as few clues as possible... In fact, as a spy I tried to be a detective and that led to my defeat. The spy's priority should be to hide and use the information gathered to improve his cover even more.

Honestly I found it easier to play as Sunny than as an adult. At the very start of the game I made myself a list of phrases I thought I may need:
Decap: "Do you think they're going to cut off Violet's head?" Dielee: "What are we going to do?" Gabrowha: "Will that work?" Goo goo: "I'm going to pretend I'm a helpless baby, instead of answering your question." Heece: "Beats me. I'm only a baby." Hewenkella: "How will we be able to see our way?" Hobson: "I didn't have much choice, given our surroundings." José: "No way!" Mofee: "I certainly will." Nidiculous: "I think I'm still a child." Noris: "Go faster!" Nottooti: "How do you know so much about us?" Oot: "Trust me, it's not that difficult." Pellucid theatrics: "Your disguise isn't working." Phromein: "I think I understand, but it's difficult for someone as young as myself." Proffco: "I guess so." Shablo: "How are we going to do that?" Surchmi: "I don't have it- my siblings do." Subjavik: "Utterly unrecognizable." Tuber: "Root of the trouble?" Unsafe: "I'd rather not find the imposter if I'm all by myself." Us alone: "Do you really think three children can accomplish all this by themselves?" Whyno: "Why not?" Wolick: "We're very happy to be of assistance." Worf: "I don't think we should stay put. I think we should leave right now." Yomhashoah: "Never again." Yuck: "Don't remind me." Zounce: "That's ridiculous!"
ETA: We should have a house rule that there has to be a Sunny every round. The real Sunny and the spy both pretending to be a baby would be hilarious. lol

I was kind of hampered in this round because I never saw the movie. Fortunately, the scene was on YouTube, so I was able to do this. I was suspicious of Lily because of the line about Kit Snicket. As I saw it, the film is only books 1-3, so a film character wouldn't know about someone from book 11. I'm kind of hitting myself for not accusing Optimism is my Phil-osophy, because hindsight has revealed he said nothing to confirm who he was. I still think this round was kind of against the spy. In the future, I might have said something like: "This round may contain locations from the show or movie".

So I will be the next host. My understanding of the rules remains as it was before. I think this variation in the masters is cool. When the panopticountolaf is the GM, we know he can adix movie or series location in addition to the books. In my case, I will focus on ASOUE, LSTUA and TBL. If some other host wants, they can add locations in ATWQ, but I won't do that anymore. Until some further notice, I will never choose locations from the movie or the series.
