Recently I discovered this album based on the series, it has 13 tracks, one for each book, and sounds something like the soundtrack for a musical adaptation of the series. The album is called ‘a series of unfortunate songs’ and the artist is Grace Kendall. I would like to know your thoughts.

Wow, what an absolutely lovely tribute album! I can't believe this wasn't posted about here before. I'd go so far to say that some of the songs hold up to Stephin Merritt's very own Gothic Archies songs. My favorites are "We Are the Ghosts" and "Wrong, Wrong, Wrong". Grace's got a pretty terrific voice. Thank you for bringing this to our attention, R.! |

Very impressive work! Thank you, R.. For anyone searching, here is a link to the album. The chorus of "Wrong, Wrong, Wrong" reminds me of the line in "Dreary, Dreary" by the Gothic Archies "gone, gone, gone." Whoever is in charge of 667's Twitter page nowadays should Tweet at the artist. |
