What do you guys eat for your main meal on Christmas (particularly if you're vegetarian/vegan)?
My family is having Salmon this year (and I'll join them, although I'm technically veggie, I don't mind salmon/omega 3 is good for you). Seems like such a weird/random thing to have on Christmas though.

Yummy borscht soup and then crispy carp fillet (along with a number of other side stuff). It's traditional for a Polish Christmas dinner, so I don't think fish is that random.

I'm vegetarian, and we do a smorgasbord, which I love. So we have loads and loads of different dishes, and they're quite eclectic. This year included spring rolls, tzatziki, vegan 'duck', samosas, zaalouk, gyoza, and two different salads. It's great fun, every year's a bit different, and it makes excellent leftover food.
The one thing we HAVE to have every year without fail is roast potatoes.
