Taking inspiration from this thread, if you had to rename the characters, what names would you give them? I would rename Lemony Snicket as Orangey Snocket.

I would rename Jerome to be pronounced Jer-oh-may because that's how I used to read it before I ever heard anyone say it out loud and I think it sounds ~fancy~

Ok, but on a more serious note, Cleo (spelt Clio in the mythology actually) was the muse for history, creativity and writing, and was said to report on great deeds and accomplishments, making her the first journalist in a way, so I feel it might have been a more fitting name for Moxie than for the character it was attributed to.
