Butter with capers is *chef’s kiss* .

Also butter sprinkled with smoked paprika and/or oregano.

Also: tapenade. I’m vegetarian so I get the sort without anchovies, and it’s so so good.



Edit: Also, butter and jam/marmalade, and lastly butter and marmite. But those are quite standard and boring options.

I like cream cheese with capers, sometimes I add sliced olives too. I tried the smoked paprika thing earlier, it's really nice, and it's good that it's something I can just always have in my cupboard so I can have that whenever I forgot to buy anything.

Also pesto, leftover pasta sauce or pan fried mushrooms.

And of course all the boring options like peanut butter (or other nut butter), jam, chocolate spread, melted cheese.
