Did you know they called their movie Frozen so when people googled "Walt Disney frozen" trying to find out the truth about his dead frozen body they would only get results related to the movie?

I think they drew each individual frame, recorded them in order, then mass-produced the film reels. yeah, the recording part is vague to me. how they got the movie camera to shoot a single frame at a time? maybe we'll never know.

The cameras weren't exactly like other film cameras. You can read a little about various animation cameras here, here, and here. I have a great book on animation, 'Disney Animation: The Illusion of Life', by Frank Thomas and Ollie Johnston (two of Disney's Nine Old Men), and it goes into quite a bit of detail about the multiplane camera in particular, it's fascinating stuff.
