I'll try to translate some of the poems from my upcoming book while I'm drunk
------------
Perpetual anticipation is good for the soul but is bad for the heart
the weight of the eyelids misaligns in the previous moment to fall under the weight of the recent death scintillating under the eyelid that beats restless while the images sequence burning the eyes' retina a book covered with moths white water falling over white water blood oranges rolling over hot asphalt a little girl says i love you milk teeth crashing against the floor a tumor grows grows grows
'til it explodes

Omg Sondheim reference?? Or just accidentally quoting him beautifully haha
Lovely poem. Blood oranges and milk teeth. 2 things that are really evocative for some reason. Also pleasant to say

Lol I forgot posting this, I'm proud of drunk Tom for the accuracy in the translation of this.
And yeah both the title of the book (Perpetual anticipation) and the title of the poem are quoting A Little Night Music, I always loved that bit of the song for some reason.
From now on I'll only translate my poems while drunk

Lol nice job drunk Tom 👍 That’s rad though I also love that bit of the song. Like the way the line feels like it drags on a bit too long when sung. And then the poem does the same thing! In a good way of course. It’s a nice effect
