I potato ing love these things, whether fresh, in a smoothie, in jelly, in pancakes, etc. Anyone else share a love of the humble huckleberry?

I don't even know what you're talking about. I googled it but of course that doesn't tell me what they taste like.

They're kind of like blueberries but more acidic, at least in my opinion. so this sent me on a tiny little journey: www.opb.org/article/2020/08/19/western-huckleberries-blueberries-oregon-washingtonI guess I've grown up around huckleberry bushes my whole life?? lol I just always knew them as wild blueberries. Because according to this article that's what they are. at least in the west I've never had a "true huckleberry" then. but wild blueberries are nice. and picking them can be kinda nice too.

I love finding and picking wild blueberries but we always call them bilberries and I *think* they’re a different thing to huckleberries, but they seem to also be called huckleberries which is derived from the names ‘hurtleberry’ and ‘whortleberry’ and idk it’s all very confusing. 10/10 for great names and also great taste though.
