Chapter 5: Witch Hunt
Semblance prowled around the meeting room. "Somehow, insurgents got in here. How? We have a very secure password and only you know it!" he shouted, pointing at the crowd of moderators. "Was it you?" he asked, pointing at Terry Craig. "Or you?" he added, pointing at Violent Bun Fortuna. "Or could it have been you?!" he shouted, pointing at GAF.
"It can't have been GAF," Zortegus said, "he never gets involved in our disputes."
"And I only just got back in time for this meeting!" Bun added.
"Hmmm. That leaves Mr. Craig. I hereby relieve you of your position. Bee, Roxy, escort him out. Rest pleasantly, traitor."
"Wait just a minute!" Zortegus shouted.
Semblance shook his head. "Mr. Zortegus, please. All the evidence points towards him."
Zortegus sighed. "You're right. I still love you, despite your flaws."
"You're making a big mistake! I'm innocent!" Terry Craig shouted as he was dragged away.
"Now to the next item on the agenda. All in favor of combining all the Lemony Snicket content into one board called Archaic Averse?"
The motion passed and the meeting was adjourned. Semblance retired to the administrator's quarters. He gazed out the window at 667 Dark Avenue. Roxy entered the room. "Do you think we got the spy?" she asked.
"I hope so. But the real problem is those insurgents. Maybe we should cut down on the ability for members to speak freely. Seal This Abyss. Without that echo chamber, they'll have to speak in moderated threads." As Roxy ran off to do his orders, Semblance turned back to the window. Of course, that wasn't the only reason to seal This Abyss, but he hadn't told Roxy how he'd truly gotten his power. He honestly hadn't told anyone besides Bee and Zortegus, who'd physically thrown the previous administrator down the hole. Information was a weapon, and he did not believe in the right to bear arms.

Chapter 6: Despair
Roxy stood at the brink of This Abyss. It was deep and dark, so she couldn't see the bottom. With her were a large group of people who were there to do the physical sealing. As she looked down the pit for a final time, she thought she heard something.
Meanwhile, at the pit's bottom, Mister M, Jean Lucio, and Tragedy were shouting upwards. "Help!" they shouted, "Help!"
"Huh," Roxy said, "it looks like a bunch of people decided to yell "help" into the abyss. Probably Zortegus again. Seal it!" The workers began placing bricks over the crevice, until it was completely sealed.
At the bottom, Jean Lucio shook his head. "That's it. We lost. Soon enough we'll run out of oxygen, and then we'll be dead."
Tragedy rose from sitting in his cage. "Not necessarily," he said enigmatically, "there's still one way. When I first dug this hole, I made sure to include a secret passage. It will only open for the true administrator. If I wasn't in this cage, I could open it."
"So now we have a way out of This Abyss, but we need a way to get you out of the cage?" Mister M asked.
"That depends," Tragedy said, "on whether or not the system still considers me the true administrator. If it accepts Semblance's coup as valid, I won't be able to open it anyway."
"So the only people who can let us out are a guy in a locked cage and the guy who threw us in? That doesn't help much."
"No," Tragedy said, "there is another."
"What? Who?"
"I have it!" Jean Lucio announced. "It's the one other person who is still listed as an administrator. The one who disappeared before he could be demoted. The one who I have designed a convoluted theory for that reveals his true location. Dante."
"So there's also a bloke who already left before Teeny Bopper even showed up. Gee, that helps so much." "Well... I guess we're doomed."

Chapter 7: Theft Gothic A Fan stepped out of his car satisfied. Despite the difficulties in contacting anyone outside of 667 nowadays, he had managed to acquire a rare draft script for the 2004 movie. He was going to put it up in Atrocious Adaptations for public viewing, but first he decided to announce it in This Abyss. He walked over to it, but he saw it had been sealed. The smell of fresh asphalt was overwhelming. Disgusted, he turned and walked into Misinformed Moderation. Or at least, he tried. Misinformed Moderation had been renamed "All-Powerful Administration" for some reason. He walked in and headed to Semblance's office. Semblance was on the phone. "-and once you've deleted all of the threads Tiran O'Saurus made, delete the posts where Jean Lucio nominated him for Member of the Month... I'm sorry, I have a visitor. Rest pleasantly." He put away his phone and turned to GAF. "How can I help you, Mr. Gothic Archies Fan?" "Why did you close This Abyss?"
"It was allowing people to communicate outside of moderated threads. You want to make sure conversations are polite and friendly, don't you?"
"I guess..."
"Of course you do. Now, what's that in your hands?"
"Oh right," GAF said excitedly, "I got that script!"
"Really? This is wonderful! Just hand it to me, and I'll make sure everyone sees it."
"Why can't I do it? I'm in charge of news on adaptations."
"And I am in charge of you. This has been the biggest Holy Grail of Averse content since Poison For Breakfast. I trust only myself to oversee its placement."
"Alright..." GAF said reluctantly.
The next day, this article appeared in the 668er:
SH*THEAD SINGLE-HANDEDLY PROCURES MUCH-WANTED SCRIPTIn a shocking turn of events, the Supreme High Imperial True Head of Every Administrator Dead or alive has managed to obtain the oft searched for draft script to the 2004 movie. He did this with no help whatsoever from Gothic Archies Fan, the alleged moderator of Atrocious Adaptations. "This is just another sign that Semblance is the best thing to ever happen to 667," said Roxy, an unbiased observer. "I call foul play," said disgraced ex-moderator Tiran O'Saurus, "just recently they took away my Member of the Month award and gave it to Teeny Bopper, AGAIN! I wouldn't be surprised if he's piggybacking on someone else's work here again." For information on Mr. O'Saurus's links to subversive insurgent movements, turn to page 9. In other news, Gothic Archies Fan has been mysteriously silent on this matter, like a man who is embarrassed at being upstaged. "I guess Lucio and M were right," GAF said as he lowered the paper, "where are they, anyway?"

Chapter 8: Revelations and Rescue GAF hurriedly walked over to the SEARCH (Special Equipment for Accessing Residents' Current Habitat) device. It showed the latest things any member of 667 had said. He typed in "jeanlucio10". Apparently, the last thing Lucio had said in the main forum was in a locked thread in All-Powerful Administration. He then tried "misterm" and got the same result. Obviously they weren't still there, so where could they be? He tried typing the keyword "imprison" into the machine, hoping it would show Semblance talking about where he put them. Instead, he found this thread: Hello, it's Semblance. I was thinking about death recently, and I wondered who will take over the forum when Tragedie croaks. Does anyone know? Rest pleasantly. It'll probably be me, he did make me the current administrator as well as him. No, it should be Semblance! Aww, thanks guys. I didn't ask for this, but with a heavy heart I'll take up this mantle. We shouldn't wait for Tragedie to die, we should put Semby in charge now! Before anyone asks, I will not be relinquishing my position. I have great respect for Semblance because he has complimented me a lot, but not enough to give him my job. Then we'll take your job by force! Viva la revolution! Ms. B, Mr. Zortegus, imprison him in This Abyss! GAF looked away. He'd seen enough. He knew now that Teeny Bopper was using This Abyss as an ad-hoc prison, so he quickly walked over to where it used to be. The layer of concrete on top was flimsy, as the workers were lazy. He went back to his office and grabbed a filing cabinet full of all the esoterica he'd gathered about the 2004 movie. He placed it on top of the concrete and the thin layer shattered. (Author's note: I don't think that's how concrete works, but whatever.) Then he took a rope that he had for some reason and bungie-jumped down This Abyss. "Could it be?"
"Is someone here to rescue us?"
"The answer to both of your questions is yes. Now tie Tragedy's cage to the rope and climb on!"

Chapter 9: The Penultimate Post
GAF, Jean Lucio, Mister M, and Tragedy were hunkered down in Atrocious Adaptations, planning their next move. "If we just show Tragedy to the world, they'll know Teeny Bopper is a fraud" Jean Lucio said.
"You're too idealistic," Tragedy responded, "what would stop Bopper from claiming I'm a fake?"
"Surely you could say something to prove it's you," Mister M reasoned.
"There are some things only I can do, as founder of this place. If I could challenge that brat... yes, that would work. I have a plan."
Days later, GAF showed up at the current Darkies ceremony. "And so the award for Best Staff goes to... Semblance!" cried the presenter.
"I humbly thank you and the hundreds of sockpuppets people who voted for me. I'd like to take this chance to wish for world piec-" Semblance tried to say before being interrupted by GAF.
"Semblance! Some vandal has given mean custom titles to everyone who voted for you!" he cried.
"I'm sorry, loyal fans, it seems duty calls." said Semblance to the audience. He ran out of the building and into All-Powerful Administration, where he sat in his office and panicked. Setting custom titles was something only the admin could do, and he wasn't the true admin. "Well if I can't do it, I'll have someone else do it," he reasoned, "and I have a prisoner who can fix this." He ran to This Abyss but found something shocking.
There was a hole in the cement, and down at the bottom, Tragedy's cage was empty. "They escaped? No, how?"
"That's a fascinating question," Tragedy said behind Semblance, and with that the battle began.
AN: the next chapter is the last one!

Chapter 10: Liberty and Death
Tragedy and Semblance slowly walked in circles around each other. "It ends here, Teeny Bopper. Your reign of terror has ended."
"Whatever do you mean, Mr. Trag-" In the middle of his sentence, Semblance swung at the former admin.
"Ha!" cried Tragedy, and he pulled a sword out of who-knows-where. He stabbed towards Semblance, who parried with his own sword. With a mighty clang, battle was joined. Around the fighting figures gathered all of 667, cheering on the side they supported. An unnerving number were on the upstart's side.
"It's... time... for... a... new... era!" Semblance squeezed out of his mouth while fighting.
"Go Semblance!" cried Roxy, Alex, the new moderators, and an obnoxious portion of 667's residents.
"Tragedy, win!" shouted the rebellious members, along with some rather confused bystanders.
But Semblance had won. He knocked Tragedy to the ground, at the very edge of the concrete patch over This Abyss. "Any last words, Mr. Tragedie?" he asked mockingly. "No? Well, rest pleasantly." And with that, he shoved his sword into the former admin. The blade sliced straight through Tragedy, and into the ground below him. "Wait, what?" Semblance asked as his own sword broke the cement.
"Heh," Tragedy laughed with his dying breath, "looks like your own power was your undoing." With an earsplitting crack, the concrete shattered. Semblance plummeted into the very pit he'd tossed his opponents into and was never seen again. But another had fallen with him. Tragedy was dead. They'd won, but at what cost?
