Let's continue this series.
I think Carmelita is the character who's closest to how I pictured her in the book, albeit with a less annoying voice than I imagined. The literal cakesniffing was a bit random and I could have done without it, although I get what they were going for.

i feel as though her spoiled-ness on screen was written a bit weirdly, which made her interactions with esmé weaker. if they had made her flaunt her wealth, she would have suited an upper class boarding school kid.
there isn’t as much time in such short form books for that character development, so when they elaborated on her scenes it was odd which aspects they amplified imo.

To me, Carmelita was one of those characters that got to be better in the show than in the books
