in my experience, that type of lowercase "a" is a hallmark of the bubbly handwriting adopted by young girls. that bubbly handwriting can use either type of lower-case a, and my writing is pretty angular. i consciously started putting a dash through my 7s in the year 2007, when a local author signed a book for me and wrote the date with a 7 like that. i just thought it looked cool. but 3-4 years ago i started putting a dash in my Zs, because they actually looked way too much like my 2s. i also dash my z's, my 7's, and my dreams. prove it

thx for being extra, bun and pen.
I heard a rumor that they don’t teach cursive in school anymore. I mean they taught it to me, but not until 3rd grade, so there’s no way I was gonna change my normal handwriting at that point. it seemed like their purpose was more for us to be able to read other people’s cursive.

your cursive is like pen's except not as good. it's funny that you both write a non-cursive I. my dad writes in all caps because his writing is utterly illegible otherwise. them are some sexy signatures

I was taught a specific way of joint up writing in primary school and we weren't allowed to do it any other way for 4 years. After that I spent a few years constantly changing my handwriting, I will see how many samples of different handwritings I can find from ages 11-13. In the end it turned out that the easiest/most comfortable handwriting for me is mostly just really tiny and that's anyone every says if they comment on it. Isadora Is a Door made me change my Is because he said people in the UK wouldn't think they are Is but I'm not sure if I believe him. I have no memory of this

I have used my signature probably less than 20 times since I got married so it still feels odd.
I used to practice "faking" my teacher's signature in primary school because I thought it looked pretty.

I’m not aware of the uniformity of French handwriting. i think they all use those tracing handwriting books in primary school but it's very rounded cursive. my default is cursive (messier version except i can't really connect my Z's), but have to print for legibility for notes and stuff
i'm getting marginally better at printing, but my 'u' and 'n' look the same. i usually like more "frilly" capitals

I like my handwriting. When I was younger I used to be obsessed with changing it, but now ain't nobody got time for that. I'd say it's quite girly looking at it, but perhaps not what you'd expect. Lot's of the photos I had in my camera roll were work notes which are obviously confidential, but I found these notes taken a few months ago on my rental property, so I'll share:

this person has smexy handwriting What is not smexy is the fact that they circled every single adjective of ‘bigness’ and ‘smallness’ throughout the whole book.

What is not smexy is the fact that they circled every single adjective of ‘bigness’ and ‘smallness’ throughout the whole book. maybe they are taking the snicket approach and discerning what is "literally" big and what is "figuratively" small
