you'll never get remotely fluent on Duolingo anyway. might as well use it like an assortment of taster sessions. I'm not just using Duolingo. I'm also using books and talking to family in Hungary. It helps that I already know a decent amount of Hungarian and just want to learn more rather than just starting from scratch. i use memrise for vocab and my friend used it for a few years to learn hungarian specifically. they're like quizlet or any of the flashcard websites, but are good to learn diverse words quite quickly. duolingo might as well be candy crush - it is fun tho ! |

I am one of the ten finalists in one of the most important writing contests here, a jury of really amazing and famous writers chose those ten over 6k other short stories. I'll find out if I win in October 2nd so send me good vibessssss I didn't win  But still being top ten is a good consolation prize |

I'll find out if I win in October 2nd so send me good vibessssss I didn't win But still being top ten is a good consolation prize I imagine at the stage of having 10 stories from 6K submissions it's not as much anymore about quality (because all ten are likely of high quality in their own ways) but about the personal tastes of the judges.
