Helloooo, so I've been invited to join some friends at an art evening tonight, where we'll be sculpting clay. It's just air dry clay so not the best stuff, but it'll be quite fun because it's not my area of expertise at all so I can just mess around with it. However, I currently have no ideas about what to sculpt, so I have come here for suggestions. Probably a terrible idea which I will regret, but nonetheless, here I am, come to beg scraps from your wildest imaginings.

A head or a figure would be my go-to. You can just go with the flow and see what kind of head you want to lean in... most fun is exaggerated, like evil or big and clunky. A figure can be made in all sorts of poses, but even the simplest are cool, like sitting down on the ground (maybe in desperation, head in hands?).
I recently sculpted for the first time since I was a child, using plasticine, and I made a little head. It was really fun making it.

Are you going to be using a wheel or just sculpting by hand? Anyway, bowls and cups are my go-to. They're relatively simple and very fun to make and make great gifts.
