today is a day of great usernames.
we have @/concernedparent, drmontgomery, dumbrunnettes, snout, and vfdmastermind, amongst others.
I always find myself telling people about the secret societies, the numerous murders, the many fires, and Count Olaf's role in it.
F- f- fine. I can t- tell when I'm not- I'm not- waah- haah- hanted! Why does everyone hate me?
All of my problems with this are my own personal preferences - Helquist's illustrations are so burned into my brain that anything other than a Burtony gothic vibe feels a little wrong to me, and Violet feels too young and pink. I'm sure they're going with "She looks traditionally girly and is gonna do awesome gender norm defying stuff like inventing and being badass" but still. She doesn't feel like the eldest sister really. But it's unreleastic to expect an adaptation to do things exactly how *I* pictured it, so I'm rolling with it!
*Gasp* I WANT!!! Though, I doubt my Borders has one. And even if they did, they'd make me pay like a gazillion dollars for it. My Borders is evil and money-hungry, so it kinda makes sense if they kept the display.
Plus, I'd probably stick it by my window, which is bad because, number one, no light will get in (Not that that matters, because I don't use the window anyway. That's what electricity is for^^), and, number two, if I get kinda paranoid about the characters in my Chicago poster staring at me while I sleep (I swear, they do! No matter what section of my room I'm in, it stares at me...), Count Olaf would even be worse.
Then there's the problem with permission from the mother. I don't think the size is a problem, as it's only four-feet tall, but the talking would drive her crazy.
I still want.
tune in tomorrow for more questionable quotes!
