did anyone else notice the eagles? Since it was mentioned twice about people getting carried around by giant birds on Mt. Fraught, do ya think its the eagles vfd owned before the schism? in TEE, jerome says something about it. the eagles were trained to look for smoke

jerome says he saw the bauds mom get carried off by .... (didnt complete sentance) but it seems pretty obvois as lemony said he had seen a woman he love get carried off my a gaint eagle to its high mountain nest. A freind of olivias trained the eagles to smell smoke, which apparently came in very handy.

I know because DH said that every time he would start the Hobbit, the Dwarves never ended up leaving Bilbo's home. And, yes, I meant the Hobbit. Oops.
