Here's how I think the series should end. Now, honestly, if it's not a happy ending, I am going to be very, very, very mad. I think that good ol' Lemony should find out that the Baudelaires are alive and well years later. I can see it now...
Lemony: (rings doorbell) "If this is the wrong house,I'm going to kill that guy"
Voice fron inside the house: "Hold on, I'll get it!" ( a little boy who looks just like Violet opens the door)
boy: "Oh, hi, who are you?"
Lemony: "Uh, hello, does a Violet Baudelaire live here,"
Violet: "Quigley, who is it?"
Quigley(Violet and Quigley's son): "It's for you, mom!"
Violet comes to door, wearing a t-shirt and jeans (refreshing change), there's a moment's silence, then ice- breaking line, (you get the point)

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO;
The books are about bad things, thus, the ending should be bad!

But, haven't there been enough bad things throughout the series for a happy ending?

There should be a mildly happy ending, such as Count Olaf is defeated for ever, and/or they learn all the secrets of VFD, and/or they find a nice place to live, and/or find a parent.
It SHOULD NOT be a cliff-hanger. TCC's end was a cliff hanger (literally).

I agree! it should NOT, by any means, be a cliff-hanger! that would be just wrong.

And I can't stress enough: Count Olaf should DIE,DIE, DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! get my point? And nothing wussy, it should be something painful and gruesome. Aaaa, sweet justice. Seriously, does anyone like the guy

I still think he should just die a painful, gruesome death. That wouldn't happen if he was caught by the police. Villains never die the guesome, painful enough deaths they deserve.

Villians never do, I agree. Not in books, anyway, and rarely in the "real world"

The only reason I like ASoUE is because bad things happen, If Olaf doesn't win I'll be so mad, I think i'll write to Lemony Snicket! with complaints. Because I'd hate to see the Bauds winning!

My feelings are of the exact opposite, if there's no happy ending ( happy for the Baudelaires, that is). I will be ultimately furious.
