We all know that the book is called the Grimm Grotto. Justice Strauss is probably gonna make an apprearance but why and how? We know that the Buadalaires will spend time in a broken down sumbarine. could this be Lemony's old house as it describes that he used to live underneath the water in the back of TMM. Where does Quicgly endup? Do Duncan, Isadora, and Hector make an appearance? Gimme your thoughts? oh yeah, what about the white-faced woman?

Lemony already said he doesn't know what happened to the two white-faced women, so don't expect an appearance from them.

yep. acorrding to the clue: "2 will disappear and never be seen again." where does it say in TMM that Lemony use to live underwater? I wonder how Justice Strausse will make an apperence. if she does.

At the "about the author" part of the book
"Lemony Snicket grew up near the sea and currently lives beneath it"

I honestly don't think the prudent Justice will make a return. After all "Justice" is her title on the high court, not the initial of her first name (although it could be if her name is Jane Strauss, Joan Strauss, etc.). I think JS stands for Jacques, and whoever left the message (possibly Mr. Snicket himself) was not yet aware of Jacques' death. Now I know some of you are going to argue, "But the message on www.lemonysnicket.com "!? Well all I can say is this... if Ms. Strauss (at least I dont thnik she's married) was ever a member of VFD dont you all think she would have been better acquanted with Count Olaf. After all they would have been colleages before the schism, yet in TBB Justice Strauss admits that she does not actually know Olaf well even though they are neighbors. My theory is that they will somehow wind up on the Doma Ged (submarine) most likely in disguises and then spend some time in "The Grim Grotto." A grotto for all you who don't know is an underwater cavern. I believe that after this they will wind up in one last location for the site of book the 12th, and finally arrive @ hotel denouemont (sp*?) for a deadly finale, also the orphans are scheduled to return to the beach for something in the final installment for the series. Well who knows what will really happen? All I can say is that I can't wait! And like I always say... have an awesome day!

And don't forget that Isadora, Duncan, and Hector are supposed to make a surprise appearance! Unless something happens before hand...

It's not that I know, but I think a theory that was going around wasthat the Bauds would get into some trouble that even they couldn't get out of and then the self-sustaing-air-machine comes and saves them(deux es machina). So there you go.

I don't think it's just a rumour. In an interveiw, someone asked why it's called The Duex Ex Machina, and Lemony replied, "Think. Where have you heard that before." It's in a myth, where the Duex Ex Machine sweeps from the sky and saves someone. So that's probably whats going to happen in the Baudelaire's case.

I have that interview and have heard that theory on another awesome Lemony faq site. Yes I think Hector, Duncan, and Isadora will make an appearance but a quote I remember but can't find leads me to believe that D+I will die. Yes I think Justice Strauss will make an appearance maybe on the submarine or grotto. Quigley will end up at Hotel Denouement so probably won't be in book 11.
