I have a theory on the last book. It won't end happyily. If the series is called, Unfortunate Events, why, oh, why would it end well? I think that Olaf will get the Quagmire saphires and the Baudilare(sp?) fortune. The children may only be moderatly happy and we may not be thrilled with the ending. But I also think will find out all the answers to our questions. Who is Beatirice, Who is Lemony Snicket, Is one of the B's parents alive and so forth.
Just a thought.

No way, it has to end happily. Even if it's a series of unfortunate events, it HAS to end happily. Maybe not happy happy, but Olaf probably won't get the fortunes.

That was spam.
And it doesn't have to end happily. I think it'll end 50/50. Maybe Olaf dies, but so does on of the Baudelaires, or the Quagmires. It will NOT end happily. I seriously hope it doesn't. That would wreck the whole series. Mr.Snicket has to pick the ending verry carefully.

Says who? I say Bauds go live with surviving parent, yet Olaf and the Quags die in some fire. Esme renounces evil(yeah right) or goes in jail. And the rest of the assistants abandon Olaf.

There might not be a parent alive!
The paragraph says "Because of evidence discussed on pg 9, experts now believe there may in fact be one survivor of the fire." NOTE- it never specified WHICH fire, it could be Quigley they're talking about!

Oh come on, it was a picture of the BAUD parents, not the Quagmires near that sentence. Plus a survivor of a fire was placed in the fountain of Victorious Finance, around tbb time, a BAUD PARENT!!! They go to Briny Beach in the 13th book...
