I have a good thoery about the day of the Baudelaire Mansion fire. You know how Lemony Snicket says that the fire happened in the morning and Beatrice died in the afternoon? Well this explains it: When the fire was occuring Beatrice escaped the same way Quigly Quagmire did, thorugh the tunnel. The tunnel led Beatrice into 667 Dark Avenue. She then went to the penthouse where Esme was. Esme was suprised to see her alive so she invited her in in an attempt to kill her. Beatrice then saw thoe sugar bowl and attempted to steal it. She was then swept out of the window of the penthouse by a giant eagle and flwon to a mountains highest mountain peak (Mount Fraught) along with the sugar bowl.
