I believe that "The World is Quiet Here" is a pledge of the good half of the schism. Quigley says that well read people are usually good people. A library is where people read, and is quiet. Reading=good people. Lemony Snicket also says in The Slippery Slope (pg. 310 & 311) "If you feel for instance, that well read people are less likely to be evil, and a world full of people sitting quietly with good books in their hands is preferable to a world filled with schisms and sirens and other noisy troublesome things. Then every time you enter a library, you might say to yourself, "the World is quiet here," as sort of a pledge proclaiming reading to be the greater good. If you feel that well read people ought to be lit on fire and their fortunes stolen, then you might adopt the saying "Fight fire with fire!" as your pledge when you are ordering your comrades around." The world is quiet here is probobly a pledge for the good half of the schism, and Fight fire with fire is the pledge of the bad half of the schism. I also assume that if someone is wondering whether a volunteer is part of the good half or not, then they could just see what pledge they say in order to determine whether to trust them or not.

This has already been disscussed on another thread, but anyway, the anagram for "The world is quiet here" is "This queer, weird, hotel."

Man! I always do a thread, and they've already done it. I don't mean to copy other people. Now I shall really check through the pages of the threads. I'm sorry, again.

Yeah, it's no problem...
But I hate the new people that come on here and post thing discussed a million times before, and when you tell them, they get cocky...
But you are excused Violet, for your lack of rudeness... Why didn't I just say politeness... I am weird like that...
