I don't see how this could be a Series of Unfortunate Events if it suddenly had a happy ending. If the Baudelaire parents have not already met a sticky end, then one, or both, shall surely be meeting it before the story is over.
Why would there be a Baudelaire Memorial Orchestra if all the Baudelaires were alive?
Or perhaps it is the Orchestra members that died and the Baudelaires funded new players... and an accordian... Hmmmm....
*goes back to the black hole to ponder further.*

Well, I believe the baud dad is currently dead and that the baud mom survived the fire but may or may not already be dead...

I can't vote because I know that one parent died and one survived. To find out who survived go to The Slippery Slope, and read page 335-336 and you will find out.

How many times I've been told to read those pages: 50 billion How many times I have: 0 Because I know it says that mr. baud will never rise again, so he's dead. But yes, Mrs. baud survived the initial fire.

How many times I've been told to read those pages: 50 billion How many times I have: 0 Hahahaha, that kept me laughing for a while, sorry to say, I haven't read those pages either when I was told, only while i was reading the book, but yes, we do know that those pages tell you that Mr. Baudelaire is dead, and so is Jacques....*sobs unbearibly* and that the mom iis alive, also major clue in TBBRE, which I bet MynamesJacques can tell you, lol. ;D
