K, well I was reading a Viking book and it mentions Olaf Haraldsson was a christianity freak ( more than likely the reason for him being a count) and if someone wouldn't become a christian he would BURN THEIR HOUSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No Offence, but Olaf is a very common name. There is no way it has anything to do with Count Olaf.

Which member said Olaf was a common name? I agree... I must have at least met 17 or 18 Olafs in my life, have not all of you?
I don't think he is a viking... But that is where LS probably got the name...

This thread is hilarious. The title had me cracking up. Personally though, I think you are on the right track. Hard to picture Olaf in full armour speaking scottish..., oh well.

Yeah...that does look funny when you picture it...wow, scottish...ok, that's just too funny. I think he is on the right track to, personally, I mean, that must be where he got the name, or the idea of Olaf.

I for one love the image of Olaf dressed in furs and a horned helmet, wielding a spiked mace and sacking little villages. Afterwards, he'd burn the towns and then go back to the Viking dragon ships and drink lots of mead. I can certainly imagine Olaf acting like a vicious Viking. There were Vikings named Olaf, including one called Olaf The Peacock, because he was self-obsessed. Sound familiar?
