I think book 13 will have a happy ending. It has to--the Baudelaires are excellent people who always do the right thing--what will parents think if their children read books about these people losing and people like CO winning? It wil drag their kids away from doing the right thing, they will think. Anyway, L is constantly reminding us how sad these books are--I think he won't mention it in book 13. Book 1 ending was sad , book 2, 3, 4, but he never said the series ending would be sad.

I thought the same thing! I certainly hope it has a happy ending. The story is more than deserving of one.

yeah. I do notice that all series must come to end. So in this case, the series of sad events must end at one point in time, and know how unpredictable LS is, i think the ending will be somewhat happy.

I think the ending will be good because it will be...DIFFERENT. I mean, the whole Slippery Slope book was just different and I have to say it was more clues than a real exciting book, with different things happening and more of an adventure, but clues are ALWAYS good too ;D And, ya never know, he can ALWAYS change the whole "unfortunate" kinda plot on us, cause he's always doing sumthing new
