I know it sounds stupid, but the cover's on the books are one of my many favorite things bout the snicket books. And i am getting frustrated. They released it very early last time but not this time. any idea of when they will release it?  |

I dont think it will be released until Handler finishes writing the book and it goes to the publisher for the first draft. because the illustrator has to read the book pick a good cover that he and the writer both agree with it, then he draws and colors it.
I say in maybe in July. Because I dont remember TSS coming out real early, do u know when it actually did come out.

I beleive it was September 23rd. Or In the week of the 23rd to the 28th. The earliest cover I saw was the teaser book cover, with Sunny's eyes blacked out. That was in early September.

Well who said that DH hasnt finished the book already? Maybe their just waiting a while.. I hope its soon though.. Its driving me crazy

Why does he have to torcher us for so long! He KNOWS he's tochering us, he's waiting 'till SEPTEMBER 21!!! And I'm getting the 11th book the second it comes out! TORCHER? Golly, he set you on fire? I think you have a lawsuit on your hands.
Or did you mean torture?
It's still nearly 5 months til the book comes out. I can't imagine they'd have a full color cover until a couple months before. I mean, if the book was going to be done this long beforehand, why would they wait so long to release it?

probably so that they could have all the copies printed and ready andddd so that they come out exactly a year apart? thats my idea

Well over here in New Zealand, we don't get TGG till November, (Thank god for Amazon.com!) so no covers have come out here yet. But I suppose it would be a picture of Violet by herself, because both Klaus(THH) and Sunny(TSS) have covers with no other of the Baudelaire orphans/children in them.

...they're probably waiting until September of each year so that anticipation will build up and fans will go crazy and so they will buy them as soon as they come out, rather than (a) waiting a few months or something for it to be cheaper, or (b) ordering it from their local libraries.

They did that with books 1-8. Eben so, it was ten times better when it was like, 3 books a year instead of 1. Book now that they are longer, it must take him longer to write them.

it could be both. the plot is getting more detailed and confusing and the antipiciation is much worse now..,
