Did you notice that most of the snow scouts had common names with V.F.D. members? Olaf was listing off the fortunes they would get and I remember he listed the Spats fortune (which is duh) but then one other fortune that I can't remember the name of (but it was a vfd name) and then the Winnepeg fortune (aka the Duchess of Winnepeg)

Yeah, in the book they mentioned a C.M. Kornbluth who worked for V.F.D. as a mechanical instructor. Then later Count Olaf said that he would get the Kornbluth fortune. I wondered about that too.

maybe the Snow Scouts is another VFD training organization like Prufrock Prep.

maybe Prufrock Prep takes all of the VFD worthy kids and makes them join the Snow Scouts. they then take them to the VFD headquarters and they become members of VFD.

Yeah. Maybe at one time. Maybe someone stole it from him like Olaf is trying to steal the Quags and Bauds fortunes. Eh, I really don't know that much about Hector, other than the fact that I know he's in V.F.D.

maybe Olaf and Co don't Know Hector's in VFD? I mean Violet and Klaus say something along the lines of: We couldn' have been the murderers, we were up all night in Hectors secret library! Then Olaf and Esmé say: Don't incriminate innocent ppl!
So if Olaf had wanted to get rid of Hector he could have then believed the Orphans and searched Hector's house, and then say that Hector also murdered Jaques. But Hector is in VFD. I recall in the UA that someone said: Float away like in the floating ballon device H is always talking about. Thats more than coincidence i think

It would make sense that Olaf is trying to steal the money of many wealthy VFDer's wouldn't it. It wouldn't be the Series of Un-Fortune-ate Events without Olaf attempting to steal someone's fortune.
