Why was he looking for stuff in The Reptile Room because I thought Lemony was doing that. Maybe because of the accusations of arson Lemony was calling himself Jacques to protect himself.
And when Jacques stumbled into the Village of Fowl Devotees what did he want to warn the Baudelaires about?

He might've wanted to tell the bauds that their parents were in VFD and all that. But you would think that as part of VFD he would be able to escape capture. I don't think Lemony would call himself Jacques, he would be able to trust Quigley.
