I don't really remember, but didn't Lemony/Daniel say that it was Beatrice who made the sandwhichs, not his sister?

OK, this is probably a stupid newbie thing to do since I don't actually have the book in front of me - so correct me if I'm wrong - but at one point, doesn't the author say something about his sister preparing sandwiches with a certain list of ingredients... and then later talk about Sunny being with her mother as she prepared sandwiches with the very same ingredients? I believe it was salads, not sandwiches. *Gets copy of TSS* Yes, it was salads. But it's still an interesting bit of evidence. However, the salad clue doesn't necessarily imply that K Snicket and Mrs. Baudelaire are the same person--just that they knew the same recipe. I think the salad is a VFD tradition of some sort.

<stops self from exploding> AGH! Another mrs. baudelaire thread? That's against my opinion? Without sufficient evidence? By someone who doesn't know much about the evidence? Ugh... (Consider this me being nice about this subject, if J saw this thread she may explode at you)

Actually, unless you're just being playful, I would consider you as being quite rude in your reply rather than nice. I was just looking for a friendly ASOUE group to converse with... If you see something you don't like on the internet, you aren't obliged to comment upon it. What's more, I believe your theory does hold water, I was not trying to find a way to disprove it.

<sigh> As mean as it looked like I was I could have exploded and been quite meaner. We are quite friendly people believe it or not, but when threads come up that have been discussed WAY TOO MUCH already we tend to get a bit mean.

Well well. Aren't you just the most tolerant person in the world. I wonder how many other newcomers you may have discouraged from continuing to post here with that kind of attitude.
By the way, Evil Counselor - thank you for looking that up. I've only just finished Book Ten and was reading it way too fast. My theory also had something to do with Mr. Snicket hiding a letter to his *sister* in one of the chapters, but again, I'll need to go back and double-check it.

Actually, not being mean either, I'm not really mean anyways, but this has been discussed quite a lot. I'm agreeing with Jacques. And if you have seen ANY past threads WHATSOEVER than you WOULD know that him, and a past member named JeromeSqualor, made a (at least, i think) 17 page thread about the Baudelaire's mom. But.....I was going to explode, but I'll let you off easy. Just because your new, doesn't mean we have the right to control, but I'm just saying, learn, and know well, what you're going to say, or post about, BEFORE you post it.

Ah...I'm inclined to deeply disagree with the above statement. You're saying that Zach often yells at newbies and has a bad attitude!? He doesn't. I can't even say that he does that often, and certainly not without reason. You might accuse J of discouraging newbies, but not Zach. [/rant.] *doesn't think that Jow will read that* Zach, don't blame yourself. I doubt that this person only blames you to go so far as deleting their account. They must have found 667 deeply disagreeable to leave.

Oh, don't get worked up about it, Zach.
I agree, Kelsea
But of course, this was just one member in almost 2000... Well, more like 200.
But still, we should be telling new members in a more civilized manner....
And -- well, we should try to get this site up and running with actually 2000 members
